Founder of Walking Tall
PROLIFIC SONGWRITER.
CONSUMMATE ENTERTAINER.
A prolific songwriter and consummate entertainer, Jimmy Tuttle is the founder and creative force behind Walking Tall. His approach to songwriting is autobiographical and direct — whether it's his songwriting, smooth vocal stylings, or melodic guitar playing, Jimmy always has a strong sense of melody and is always about the song.
The name "Walking Tall" comes from Jimmy's former band — a motto that perfectly captures the grit and mindset Jimmy has carried throughout his career. When he and Bret reunited in 2014 after decades on separate musical paths, they chose this name to represent their shared philosophy.
That summer, they released Walking Tall Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 just months apart. Vol. 1 spotlighted Jimmy's vocals, songwriting, and musicianship — showcasing his unique ability to craft memorable, melodic songs that resonate with listeners.
In 2025, Walking Tall released their most ambitious work yet: No Known Destination — a full-length album co-written by Jimmy, who also played slide guitar, acoustic guitars, and bass on the record.
Beyond Walking Tall, Jimmy brings his country-fired rock 'n' roll energy to Corn Fed Rebels, delivering electrifying live performances rooted in the classic rock and country sounds he grew up on. When not performing live, Jimmy is writing and recording music for his solo project, Jimmy Tuttle Band.
"Hold your head high and walk tall. Never give up, never give in. Be relentless."
